Death Last Sunday of Late Adam Heib

Adam Heib, one of the highly respected residents of Lodi and a member of the Germany Colony, died at his home in this vicinity at 12:15 o'clock Sunday. He suffered an apoplectic stroke a few days before his final illness. Prior to that time he was a strong, robust man and one of the last whom it could be believed was near death's door.
Mr. Heib was a wealthy man and an honest man who respected honesty in others. He was generous and kind hearted and those of his acquaintances who were worthy, never appealed to him in vain. He was a native of North Dakota, aged 76 years. Besides his widow, he leaves two sons, Jake and William in Lodi and a daughter in North Dakota. The funeral was held Tuesday from the German Reform church at 2 pm Rev. Mr. Jungeblutt officiating. Internment was made in Lodi cemetery. ref: Lodi News Sentinel 4 Apr 1907
