Harry Elliott?s obituary appeared in the Zanesville Times Recorder on 19 Nov 1976: WOODSFIELD - Harry F. Elliott, 64, of 296 Green st., Woodsfield, died at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday at Barnesville Hospital following a long illness. He was born Feb. 6, 1912 in Woodsfield. He was a member of the St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and was past Chef de Gare of the 40 and 8, past commander of Monroe Post 87 of the American Legion, and president of the Civil Service Employes Association. Surviving are his widow, Gladys Schumacher Elliott; four daughters, Mrs. Wilbert (Pat) Carpenter of Marshall-ville, Mrs. Robert (Mary Bel) Smithberger of Sunbury, Mrs. Melvin (Judy) Kemp of Bethesda and Mrs. Robert (Harriet) Forbes of Gahanna; a son, Terry Elliot of Woods-field; a sister, Mrs. George (Elthea) Schultz of Hilltop Lakes, Tex.; a brother, Glenn Elliott of Massillon; three step-daughters, Mrs. John (Diane) Kenney of New Albany, Mrs. John (Judith) Louther of Wellington, and Mrs. Bud (Carla) Armstrong of Pataskala; a step-son, Herb Pfesser (sic) of Upper Arlington; and 14 grandchildren. The body was taken to Michener Funeral Home in Woodsfield where friends may call 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today. Mass of Participation will be solemnized at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Woods-field with burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Ozark.
