Emma was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Glen Ullin, N.D., to Peter and Cecelia Gartner and that is where she spent her early years. She married Frank Yungheim in Bismarck, N.D., on June 3, 1938. They moved to Billings in 1952 where they raised their three children. Emma is preceded in death by her husband Frank; her youngest son Greg; her sister Margaret; and brother Mike. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Hunter (Charlie); son Gary Yungheim; and nephew Wayne Drashil; three grandchildren, Janna Johnson (Kurt), Nancy Sauvageau (Mike) and Nadine Clarke (Barb); three great-grandchildren, Katie Sauvageau, Allie Sauvageau and Brian Cooper. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Morberg Cottage and Fisher Cottage for their care, compassion and empathy in Emma's last days. Memorial services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, Oct. 14, at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Montana Chapter, 3010 11th Ave. N., Billings, MT 59101.
