Annamae Margaret (Memmer) Gough, 77, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born July 10, 1935, in Vanderburgh County, Indiana.
She was the former owner of Annie Mae's Café and spent her life cooking for others at Wesselman's, Spalding's and the Marigold Bar. Too few put as much love and care into providing for others as she did. She was lengendary for her cakes, pies, fried chicken, and all things home-made with love. She loved life and lived it filled with laughs, good friends and caring for others. She had no patience for a frown or someone doing without. She was always supportive of her family's endeavors no matter the cost, no matter the work, no matter the challenge, doing whatever it took to get the job done and always with a smile and a wise-crack.
Annamae will be greatly missed and her family is thankful for those who have cared for her and for them throughout her illness and showed love and kindess to them during this time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mamie Memmer; brothers, Albert, Harold, Marvin, Francis and Bob Memmer; and sister, Virginia Loehrlein.
Annamae is survived by her husband, Robert "Bob" Gough; sons, David Bush, Mark Bush and Paul (Kris) Bush; grandchildren, Erin (Kurt) Wildeman and Griffin, Hannah, Lydia and Julia Bush; great-grandchildren, Hank and Kash Wildeman; step-children, Robert D. (Martha) Gough, Kim (Frank) Ortiz, Patty (Mike) Knight and Donald (Cheryl) Gough; 12 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; brother, Gilbert (Charlotte) Memmer, sister-in-law, Eileen Memmer; and several nieces and nephews.
