He was born August 29, 1925 in Taylor, North Dakota to Joseph and Anna (Dauenhauer) Miller. Herman served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Navy diver. He worked over 50 years in the concrete business, owning Miller Concrete in 1975 and retired in 1986. He continued to work side jobs until February, 2006. Herman was a member of St. Paul Cathedral, VFW, American Legion and the Eagles. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and baking.
