Paul H. Becker Paul H. Becker, 84, of St. Albans, formerly of Harpers Ferry, died Oct. 20, 1998, in St. Francis Hospital, Charleston. He was retired from Congress as an administrative assistant for Rep. John Slack. He was a former employee of Automobile Manufacturer Association, Detroit. He was a Catholic. He worked for the West Virginia Road Commission, Federal Writers Project, and was the co-author of "History of West Virginia." He was a graduate of Marshall College, former editor of the Parthenon, and was a member of the Marshall Alumni Association. Surviving: daughters, Catherine Becker of St. Albans, Elizabeth Becker Throckmorton of Dale City, Va.; brother, Louis R. Becker of Gloucester, Ohio; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, St. Albans, with the Rev. Patrick M. McDonough officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
