Hoffelder Fred P, 94, of Kendallville, died Sunday at his residence. He was born May 20, 1895 in Waterloo, the son of Peter H. and Kathryn (Schlosser) Hoffelder. In March 1920, he married Thelma Mays, who died in Sept. 1963. He moved from Waterloo to Kendallville in 1921. He retired from McCray Refrigerator Co. in 1963 after 39 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and Knights of Columbus, Kendallville. Surviving are seven daughters, Laura Mae Coleman and Olive Conrad, both Kendallville, Mary Jane Double and Dorothy Jones, Ossian, Betty Fletcher of Fort Wayne, Sally Parman of Altamonte Springs, Fla., and Barbara Schwartz of Grenada Hills, Calif.; two sons, Harold S. of Kendallville, and Tom of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a sister, Elizabeth Baird of Norman, Okla.; three brothers, Phillip and Eugene, both of White Pigeon, Mich.; and Sylvester of Norman, Okla.; 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. One son, one daughter, 3 brothers and 7 sisters preceded him in death. Services Wednesday in Immaculate Conception Church.
