''Dottie'' Nageldinger Meyers, 79, of Dundee, died unexpectedly Wednesday Dec.17, 2008 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Penn Yan. Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 21 at the Baird Funeral Home, 36 Water St., Dundee. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 22 at the Dundee United Methodist Church, 35 Water St., with Rev. Keith Kissel officiating. Burial in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Dundee Emergency Squad, 12 Union St., Dundee; the Dundee United Methodist Church, 35 Water St., Dundee, 14837, or to Yates County Cancer Support Services 417 Liberty St. Suite 2120 Penn Yan, 14527. Mary was born Aug.21, 1929 in Bellona, the daughter of Floyd R. and Mary L. Loree Nageldinger. On May 27, 1950 in Dundee, she married Carl A. Meyers Sr.; he passed away June 3, 1987. A life long area resident she worked for many years in the local vineyards, and the former Michael Stearns Clothing Store before it closed. She will be better remembered as the head cook for over 20 years in the Dundee Central School, Cafeteria, where all the students kindly called her ?mom,? retiring in 1988. ?Dottie? as she liked to be called, was a member of Dundee United Methodist Church, enjoyed camping, bingo, ceramics, and her loving family, supporting and following them in all their endeavors. She is loved and will be missed by a daughter, Judy Ann (Dwight) Williams of Newport News, Va; two sons, Karl Allen (Sue) Meyers Jr. of Alden, and Donald Paul (Karen) Meyers of Dundee; 10 grandchildren Jennifer (Grover McSwain) Williams of Alexandria, Va., Justina (Travis) Butler of Santee, Calif., Joshua Meyers of Cheektowaga, Jason Meyers of Las Vegas, Nev., Taylor Meyers of Alden, Mollie (Bob) DeGraff of East Aurora, Christie (Wayne) Mathews, and Katie Metz of Alden, Jessika and Kayla Meyers, both of Dundee; a great grandson Jaxson Butler of Santee, Calif.; a brother, Donald (Phyllis) Nageldinger of Washington, W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband; she was pre-deceased by four brothers, and two sisters.Arrangments were by the Baird Funeral Home, Dundee, under the personal direction of Baird Booth whom she lovingly called ?Chip?.
