Stoebner, age 88, of Clear Lake, SD will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2009 in the Trinity Lutheran Church, Clear Lake, SD. Rev. Michael Enderle will officiate. Erna passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in the Prairie Lakes Hospital, Watertown, SD. Erna was the widow of Eugene Stoebner and Erwin Bindert. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake, SD. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Schawn Johnson, Scott Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Bobby Bindert and Dana Bindert. Music will be provided by Ruth Enderle, organist. Visitation will be from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2009 in the Houseman Family Funeral Home in Clear Lake, SD and will resume Thursday one hour prior to the service at the church. For online condolences and registry please visit www.housemanfuneralhome.com Erna Marie Fuerst was born April 20, 1921 to Herbert and Ann (Weisz) Fuerst in Highmore, SD. She was raised on a farm near Highmore and attended Highmore schools. Following her education, she moved to Kaylor, SD. On February 9, 1947, Erna was united in marriage to Erwin Bindert. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed near Tripp, SD. In 1949, they moved to a farm near Gary, SD and Moritz, SD where they farmed until Erwin passed away on March 26, 1977. Erna remained on the farm until moving to an apartment in Clear Lake, SD. Erna married Eugene Stoebner and continued to live in Clear Lake. In August of 2005, they both entered the Deuel County Good Samaritan Center. Eugene passed away on October 26, 2005. Erna passed away on August 30, 2009 in the Prairie Lakes Hospital in Watertown, SD at the age of 88 years, 4 months and 10 days. Erna was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aid. Erna was a great cook and baker and loved to sew, crochet and embroider. She is lovingly remembered by her three children: Diane (Tom) Johnson, Coon Rapids, MN, Norm (Karen) Bindert, Gary, SD and Gary (Janice) Bindert, Cheyenne, WY; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister Zelena Weisz and nieces and nephews. Erna was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Stoebner; her first husband Erwin Bindert and one brother Raymond Fuerst.
