Florence Luella Dauber Knoch WHIPPLE - Florence Luella Dauber Knoch, 93, of 320 Stanleyville Narrows Road, died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 1, 2005) in her daughter's home with her loving family following an extended illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1911, in Muskingum Township to Katherine Wagner Dauber and Jacob Dauber. She attended Lowell High School and was employed by Pfaff Bakery, S.S. Kressge Co., Farmers Livestock, and later assisted in the operation of the family business, Knoch Farms. She was active in the Washington County Farm Bureau and served on the board of directors. She was a 60-year member of the Whipple/Muskingum Grange, holding a National Seventh Degree. She was also a lifetime member of Stanleyville Ladies Guild, Bethany Circle of St. Paul's, a member of Highland Ridge Community Church, and Ladies Willing Workers. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Clyde Knoch, whom she married June 11, 1939; one son, Larry Knoch, one daughter, Marla Work and her husband, Larry Work, and two grandsons, Adam and Shawn Work, all of Stanleyville; two nieces, Mrs. Ruth Sarver Hummel and Joyce Sarver, both of Columbus; one nephew, Earl Caldwell and his wife, Dorothy, of Marietta; and a sister-in-law, Ruth K. Jones of Morgantown, W.Va. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Elaine, in 1945; sisters, Mrs. Selma Dauber Biehl, Mrs. Hilma Dauber Caldwell and Mrs. Ellan Dauber Sarver; and a nephew, Wilbur Sarver. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Don Hart officiating.
