She was raised and educated in the Braddock and Hazelton area and graduated from Hazelton High School. Esther married Reinhold Schauer on July 11, 1942, in Moffit. Following their marriage, they farmed in the Moffit area before moving to Bismarck in 1966. In Bismarck, Esther and Reinhold were real estate brokers and owned Schauer Real Estate, retiring in 2000. Esther enjoyed painting figurines, sewing, Sudoku and embroidering crafts. She loved animals of all kinds. Esther had a wonderful voice and enjoyed singing. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Bismarck. Esther is survived by her husband, Reinhold, Bismarck; her daughters, Irene (Don) Charbonneau, Dickinson, and Diane (Richard) Fransen, Mobridge, S.D.; her grandchildren, Greg Roberts, Lori Flanagan, Mark Roberts, Wyatt Fransen and Katie Kirschmann; her great-grandchildren, Nicholas and Hailee Swennes and Tyler Roberts; one great-grandson, Sean Roberts; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Kirschmann; her parents; four brothers; and one sister. The family wishes to give special thanks to Megan and Medcenter One Hospice for all of her care and also the wonderful nursing staff at St. Gabriel's. Family Members Spouse Reinhold J.
