Madison, Iowa, she attended Roosevelt H.S. in Des Moines, Iowa and attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa where she met Bob, they were married March 18, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa.Bob and Peggy moved to Franklin, Nebraska in 1958 and opened Tilford's Department Store in 1958. They ran the family business until 1980 when they retired and moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Peggy was an avid reader, knitted baby caps which she donated to a local hospital for newborn babies to wear home, enjoyed water walking at a local indoor pool and loved her family and many friends and she will be greatly missed. She was diagnosed with esophagus cancer December 28, 2009, had almost completed chemo and radiation treatments but died suddenly.Palm Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
