[S927] Obituary. Eugene Colvin SALISBURY - Eugene Colvin, 71, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. He was born Sept.21, 1942 in Belmont County, Ohio, the son of the late Esther Myrtle Dunlap and Eugene Robert Colvin. Eugene was a veteran of the United States Army in Vietnam as a paratrooper. He was of the Baptist denomination. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Christa Doll Colvin, whom he married Jan. 8, 1965 in Mainz, Germany; sons, Michael Colvin (Melinda) of Salisbury, Mark Colvin (Kari) of Virginia Beach, Va., Richard Colvin (Bridget) of Bumpass, Va.; brother, Carmen Colvin (Marie) of Buffalo, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Phillip Michael Colvin of Salisbury, Nicholas, Thomas, Gavin, and Guinevere Colvin of Virginia Beach, Va., and Laikyne, Zackery, Zander, and Sydney Colvin of Bumpass, Va.
