Hager, 78, of 440 E. Lodi Ave., died Thursday morning in a local hospital following a short illness. A native of Wittenberg, S Dakota, he moved to Lodi in 1937. Hager was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church where he served as a deacon for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Emma; two sons, Ralph E. Hager Sr., of Harvey, ND and Rev. Edward A Hager of Atlanta, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Violet Fried of Windsor, ND and Mrs. Florabelle Ellsbury of Reno; one sister, Mrs. Berta Seibel of Lodi; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2pm today in the Mennonite Brethren Church with Rev. Arne Weibe officiating. Burial will be in Cherokee Memorial Cemetery.
