  [S927] Obituary. WINSTON, Beverly Ann Beverly Ann Winston (Fischer), surrounded by the love and comfort of family, passed away from respiratory failure on June 12, 2017, in Spokane, WA. Beverly, one of six children, was born January 26, 1936 in Sidney, MT, to Frank and Margaret Fischer. Beverly spent her early years on a farm in Sidney before moving to Petaluma, CA. She graduated from Petaluma High School in 1954 and went on to marry Gerald A. Winston in February 1956. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Joy and Mark. Beverly worked as a social services eligibility worker for Sonoma County for over 25 years. She was a caring, thoughtful, and most generous person who was loved by many. Beverly enjoyed life to the fullest. Her many hobbies included flying with her husband Gerald who was a pilot, reading, bowling, playing piano, listening to various types of music, playing pinochle, and spending time with family. Beverly touched many with her contagious laugh and her compelling stories about her life time adventures. Her home was the gathering place for both family and friends for many years. She was very dedicated to her children and grandchildren. When her son, Mark, passed away in 1997, she helped raise her two teenage grandsons without hesitation. She was a selfless, supportive, and kindhearted person. A few years after her husband passed away in 1999, Beverly moved to Spokane, WA to be closer to her daughter and to her extended family. Beverly (aka: Gra, Gigi, Bev, Toad, Berbely) will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Beverly was preceded in death by her husband Gerald, her son Mark, parents Frank Fischer and Margaret Fischer (Servo), brothers Kenneth and Anton, and her longtime companion Harold Rice. Beverly is survived by daughter Joy M. Liuzunie (Rock Higgins); grandchildren Michelle Alquist, Crystal Crosby (Andrew), Blake Liuzunie, Will Winston, Paul Winston; great-grandchildren Logan Liuzunie and Kylie Crosby; siblings Leroy Fischer, Joan Casey, Larry Fischer (Rusty); and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at La Belle Vie Event Center, 18507 E. Appleway Ave., Greenacres, WA 99016, on August 5th, at 2pm.
