He was born in Louisville and was an Army veteran of World War II in the European Theatre, serving in five major battles. He was a retired secretary and treasurer for Kentucky Printing Corporation and a member of Mended Hearts Association, Bonnycastle Club, American Legion Highland Post #201 and St. Raphael the Archangel and St. Brigid Catholic churches. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Fangman; daughters, Susan Fangman Rapier of Danville, KY, and Sally Fangman; a son, Tom Fangman; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. His funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church, Bardstown Rd. at Lancashire Ave., with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
