Berthoid Miller TUTTLE - Berthoid J. Miller, j 77, Tuttle, died April 1, 1999, in the I Wishek nursing home. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Seventh-day j Adventist Church, Bismarck, with the Revs. Darrel Lindensmith and Dennis Altrogge officiating. Burial ; will be in Tuttle Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 ! p.m. Monday at Eastgate Funeral : Service, and for one hour prior to ; the service at the church. ! Bert J. Miller was born Oct. 7, 1921, in Kidder County, 5Vi miles southwest of Tuttle on his family's i farm to Martin J. and Magdelena J (Wagner) Miller. He was raised and educated in Tuttle, graduating i from high school in 1939. He I farmed with his family until taking it over in 1948. j Bert married Alvina Hetletvedt on May 29, 1953, at English Luther- an Church, Tuttle. He continued ; farming until he entered the i Wishek Nursing Home due to fail- i j ing health caused by Alzheimer's. Bert belonged to the Seventh-day ; Adventist Church in Hurdsfield. He; , enjoyed bowling and loved reading ' J his Bible. He loved farming, and he j really cared about his cattle. t If he was able, Bert would pass j this message along love every- J body. If everyone loved God, they d 1 love one another and problems j would fade from the world. He laved to chat and invited people in for coffee and lunch. He is survived by his wife, Alvi- ; na; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Rodney and Linda, New : Market, Md., Jeffrey and Rita, , Grand Forks, Marlyn and Sharrell, Modesto, Calif., and Aaron, St. Paul, Minn.; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Beverly and Bill ; Gadberry, Eudora, Kan., DiAnn . and Mark Phelps, Houston, Texas, , Valerie Miller, Houston, Rhonda j and Mike Braun, Wing, and Lu- ; cinda and Jeffrey Shoberg, St. Cloud, Minn.; 15 grandchildren; , two step-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Rose, Knoxville, Tenn.; two. sisters and one brother-in-law, Hilda Miller, Knoxville, and Ruth and Ed Kahler, Missoula, Mont. 1 He was preceded in death by his . parents; one infant daughter, Lori; , four brothers, Albert, Elmer, John and Otto; four sisters, Martha, Helen, Bertha and Lydia; and one . baby sister, Madalena. Bert was a very loving Father and Friend. He will be missed by all.
