Bio: Charles G. Bulfer, 83, of Peru died at 2:57 p.m. April 13, 2008, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Peru. The Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Spring Valley, with military rites by Peru Veterans Memorial Group.Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday in the church. Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, is in charge of arrangements.Mr. Bulfer was born May 23, 1924, in La Salle to Charles and Josephine (Kemper) Bulfer. He married Lucy Bartolucci on Nov. 26, 1966, in St. Thomas More Church, Dalzell.He graduated from St. Bede Academy and St. Benedict College in Atchison, Kan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
