He was born March 19, 1956, in Dickinson, the son of Joseph Degele, Jr. and Margaret (Beckler) Degele. He grew up and attended schools in Dickinson. As a young man, Allan served in the U.S. Military and then moved to Portland where he was employed as a truck driver. In December of 1992 he was married to Lisa Marie Wiley in Portland. A son, Tyler was born to this union. Allan was most recently employed with Winco Corporation. Allen was a devoted family man as is evidenced through his special bond with his special treasure; his son, Tyler. He focused his life, attention, and efforts to this special bond. Allen was graced with Tyler's presence during the final days of his life as they enjoyed vacations and travels along the West Coast. Tyler will forever be Allan's greatest gift. Survivors include a son, Tyler of Portland; one sister, Sharon (Joe) Dutchuk, Bismarck, ND; two brothers: Terrence (Peggy) Degele of Grenora, ND and Douglas (Tessie) Degele of San Diego, CA; three aunts, Marie Lampl, Hettinger, ND, Barbara Messmer, Dickinson, ND and Catherine Hart of Dickinson, ND; four nephews, two nieces, two great-nieces and one great-nephew.
