Sharon Dutchuk, 69, died April 7, 2017, at CHI St. Alexius Health. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 13, at Bismarck Funeral Home, with Msgr. Jim Braaten officiating. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a vigil at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 12, at Bismarck Funeral Home.
Sharon was born in Dickinson, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret Degele. She was raised in Dickinson and attended Trinity High School. She married Joseph W. Dutchuk in 1964 and they had two sons, Michael and Robb. In 1975 the family moved to Bismarck and Sharon, along with raising her two sons, worked at Woolworth’s, Herbergers, and finally at Unisys for 20 years until her retirement in 2014.
Sharon’s hobbies included reading, planting flowers, shopping, pinochle, taking rides along the river and playing with her puppy Bella. She was happiest when around family and friends, and most of all enjoyed her lunch dates with friends.
Sharon is survived by her son Robb and daughters-in-law, Joann and Frances; brothers, Terrance (Margaret) Degele and Douglas (Tess) Degele; grandchildren, Sean, Nicholas and Hana.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 45 years, Joseph; her son, Michael; and one brother, Allen.
