GILLIGAN, 85, of MIDDLETOWN, died Saturday, April 12, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was an office assistant for Dr. Ayoub in Holmdel for seven years, and prior to that for Dr. Alperin in Middletown for 32 years. She lived in Middletown for 55 years and was born and raised in Jersey City. She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Gilligan; a sister, Helen Ruf; and two brothers, Phillip Nesbihal and Edward Nesbihal. Surviving are her son, John Gilligan of Middletown; a daughter, Patricia Gilligan of Winchester, Va.; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Church Bray Avenue, North Middletown. Burial will be at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Road, Middletown, is in charge of arrangements.
