She was raised and educated in rural Morton County. Rose worked for Boeing during World War II before her marriage. On Sept. 24, 1946, she married Leonard Pitzer in Mandan.She was a member of the Eagles Club, Catholic Daughters of America and the Bismarck-Mandan Association for the Handicapped.
