Nov 2001 http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilclint2/cemetery/stbernard/alpha003.htmHAAS, Emil 5-27-1873 2-17-1913 BIOGRAPHY: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ilclint2/commer/albers.htm The 1913 Commercial History of Clinton County, Illinois Before his death the early part of 1913 Mr. HAAS was connected with the Pevely Dairy Company of Albers as manager. He also operated one of the best paying saloons in the village and was on a fair road to make a great success, but the Grim Reaper came along and took one good man from our midst. He was born in St. Clair County in 1873 and for several years lived in Trenton. He came to Albers in 1900 and started into the saloon business a little over a year ago. For twelve years he was in the grain business in the city and was married in 1897 to Mary BREINER. He leaves six children.
