Greiner, 83, of 1018 W. Burnett St., Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, at Hillside Manor. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. The Rev. Charles Scheuerell will officiate. Burial will be in St. Theresa Memorial Gardens, Theresa. Graveside military rites will be provided by the Beaver Dam American Legion Post 146. Eugene was born on March 17, 1922, in Theresa, the son of Peter and Amelia (Moser) Greiner. He was married to Bea Braeger on Sept. 11, 1948, at St. Patrick's Rectory in Fond du Lac. Eugene was a 1940 graduate of Mayville High School and a 1951 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He retired from Mercury Marine in May of 1987. He was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Beaver Dam. He served his country in World War II in the tank corps. He was a former member of the Theresa Legion Post, and member of the Dodge County Voiture 856 of the 40 & 8 were he was past commander. He held various state, county and national offices with the 40 & 8. He was also a former member of the Beaver Dam Elks Club. Survivors include his wife, Bea Greiner, Beaver Dam; one son, Jim Greiner, Fort Wayne, Ind.; one sister-in-law, Bernice (Bill) Beswick, Laguna Woods, Calif.; nieces, nephews, and other close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Mercedes, and one infant son, Bruce. Friends may call on Saturday, April 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Beaver Dam. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp American Legion. The Koepsell Funeral Home, 109 N. Lincoln Ave., Beaver Dam, is serving the family.
