Born October 3, 1931 in Washington, PA. Died at his home at Cedar Lake Village in Plainfield, IL on September 20, 2014 after a short illness. Frank's military funeral was held on September 27th at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL. He was proceeded in death by his father Victor and mother Felicis (Cenis) VanNuffelen, his wife Marilyn (Kinsella) VanNuffelen, and his sister Alberta (John R.) Burkhart He is survived by his sister Marylou (James) Pressley of San Antonio, TX , his children and grandchildren living across the U.S. Frank graduated from Trinity High School and Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania. He attended graduate school at DePaul University focusing on law, and Northwestern University. He served in the U.S. Army's 11th Airborne Division. After serving in the military, he worked in Risk and Insurance Management, Safety and Loss Control, Fire Protection, and Property and Casualty claims for 50 years. He was a member of the Risk and Insurance Managers Society, American Society of Safety Engineers, Safety Committees of the Compressed Gas Association, and the Private Truck Council. He was a member of Toastmasters International, an election judge, and frequent volunteer within the community. Frank enjoyed photography, gardening, theatre productions, time with friends, and travel. Donations can be made in Frank's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
