Birth: Feb. 17, 1921 Death: Apr. 1, 2004 Emma H. Silliman Leechburg Emma Haggerty Silliman, 83, of Leechburg, died at 5:20 a.m. Thursday (April 1, 2004) in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison. Born Feb. 17, 1921, in Harmar, she lived in Springdale and Lower Burrell before moving to Leechburg 10 years ago. Mrs. Silliman was a member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church, Lower Burrell. She enjoyed hooking rugs, doing plastic canvas, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Frederick Silliman; a son, Frederick G. (Sandra) Silliman of West Leechburg; and a daughter, Peggy Radaker of New Kensington. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Mrs. Michele (Andrew) Kupas, Scott Radaker, Mrs. Barbara (Ralph) Guyer, and Kevin Silliman; and five great-grandchildren, Maggie and Micki Kupas, Christina Radaker, and Matthew and Anna Marie Guyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Emma Noble Haggerty; five brothers, James, Rueben, Hugh, Bill "Buster," and Charles Haggerty; and four sisters, Emma in infancy and Helen, Gertrude and Beatrice Haggerty. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME, Lower Burrell, where a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday. Officiating will be the Rev.
