Silliman, 82, of Allegheny Township died Sunday, June 26, 2005, in West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township. Born Sept. 7, 1922, in New Kensington, he lived in Lower Burrell most of his life until moving to Allegheny Township 15 years ago. Mr. Silliman was a crane operator for Allegheny Ludlum Steel, Brackenridge, for 44 years. He was a life member of Lower Burrell Volunteer Fire Co. 3. Mr. Silliman was a graduate of New Kensington Trade School. A veteran, he served for 3 years in the Army Air Corps, having duty in North Africa. He enjoyed traveling, working with his hands and camping. Survivors include a son, Frederick (Sandra) Silliman, West Leechburg; a daughter, Peggy Radaker, Leechburg; four grandchildren, Michele (Andy) Kupas, Leechburg, Scott Radaker, Arkansas, Barbara (Ralph) Guyer, Vandergrift,and Kevin Silliman, West Leechburg; and five great-grandchildren, Maggie and Nikki Kupas, Christina Radaker, and Matthew ans Anna Marie Guyer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Haggerty Silliman; his parents, George and Leona Wagner Silliman; and an infant sister.
