Cory passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay. He was born on July 11, 1926, in Hicksville, OH to the late James G. and Margaret (Arend) Hauter. On June 28, 1950, he married Chloette B. Wagner and she preceded him in death. Anthony was a WWII survivor, serving in the South Pacific. He drove a Gulf gas truck for 41 years. After retiring he mowed roads for Union Twp., Hancock County. He is survived by his daughter, Janice A. (Larry) Wolford of Mt. Cory; two grandsons: Christopher D. (Johanna) and Brian D. (Jodie) Wolford both of Findlay. Also surviving are his great-grandson, Logan D.; step-great-granddaughter, Marissa; and a step-great-grandson, Josh, all of Findlay. Tony is survived by three sisters: Elma Lawrence of Fort Wayne, IN, Vera Pruitt of Long Beach, CA, and Ellie Singer of Defiance, OH; and a sister-in-law, Ruth of Long Beach, CA. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers: Henry of Hicksville, OH and Lewis of Long Beach, CA; and a sister, Genny Ruhlman of Tempe, AZ. Visitation will be from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 7, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. following the visitation. Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, Union Twp., Hancock County, where full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
