Birth: Aug. 15, 1907 Lehr McIntosh County North Dakota, USA Death: Jun., 1985 Yakima Yakima County Washington, USA Yakima, WA, HERALD REPUBLIC, 15 June 1985 - Henry Doerr, 77, of 315 N. 56th Ave., Yakima, died Thursday in New Valley Osteopathic Hospital. Mr. Doerr was born Aug. 15, 1907, in Lehr, N.D., to Jacob and Christina (George) Doerr. At an early age, he moved with parents to Ashley, N.D., where he was raised and educated. He began his career as a barber in high school. He married Marion Miles in Ashley, N.D., April 29, 1934, and they moved to Yakima in 1943. He owned and operated Henry's Barber Shop until his retirement in 1979. Mr. Doerr was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the men's club at Suntides Golf Course and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks 318. He was an avid golfer and sportsman. Survivors include his wife, Marion Doerr of Yakima; a son, James H. Doerr of Yakima; three brothers, Al Doerr of Bismarck, N.D., Walter Doerr of Ashley, N.D., and Bill Doerr of Yakima; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, August, Ed and John Doerr.
