Birth: Feb. 5, 1932 Death: Nov. 15, 2011 The funeral for Irene Hildahl of LaMoure, ND, will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm at Zoar Lutheran Church, LaMoure, ND, with Reverend Roy Noel officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Rosehill Cemetery, LaMoure. Irene Ketterling, daughter of Peter and Lydia (Just) Ketterling was born February 5, 1932 at Wishek, North Dakota. She grew up and attended school in Grand Rapids, North Dakota. Irene was united in marriage to Gilbert Hildahl on September 3, 1950 at LaMoure, North Dakota. The couple made their home in Valley City North Dakota until the mid 1950's when they moved to LaMoure. North Dakota. While living in LaMoure, Irene worked at the Grocery Store, Hardware Stores, and Winnie's Department Store. Gilbert passed away on January 31, 2011. Irene passed away on November 15, 2011, at St. Rose Care Center, LaMoure, North Dakota. She was 79 years old. She is survived by a son, Steve (Diane) Hildahl, Jamestown, ND; two daughters, Delphine (Jerry) Hagen, Moorhead, MN and Teresa Johnson, Mandan, ND; five grandchildren, Tyler Hildahl, Mollie Johnson, Christa Hagen, Jami Nylander, and Steven Hagen; five great-grandchildren; four brothers, Herbert (Shirley) Ketterling, Greeley, CO, Elmer (Ruby) Ketterling, Leola, SD, Wilbert Ketterling, Wheaton, MN, and Raymond Ketterling, Billings, MT; four sisters, Esther (Kenneth) Haugen, Verona, ND, Katherine (Allen) Hodem, LaMoure, ND, Norma (William) Kale, Aberdeen, SD, and Sara (Bill) Peterson, Arvada, CO. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, five brothers, Oscar, Albert, John, Erwin, and Benjamin, two sisters, Lenora Hyle and Ellen Nelson, and a son-in-law, Lyle Johnson.
