DeForest
Mark ?Spike? Quamme, age 57, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, December 19, 2015. Mark was born April 21, 1958 to Art and Barbara (Lange) Quamme and lived his entire life in the Deforest/Arlington area. Mark will be greatly missed by the many friends he made throughout his life, starting with his work at and part ownership of the Landmark in DeForest, followed by his years at Walgreens in Windsor and his paper route.
Mark was happiest living on the family farm or helping Lonnie Hahn on his farm where they became very good friends. He also loved to cook and bake. He was always taking cakes, cookies or candy into work for his friends at Walgreen?s, whether it be for someone?s birthday or just because he wanted to.
He also enjoyed following the high school sports of his many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews, whether it was swimming, basketball, volleyball or football.
Mark is survived by his brother, Tim Quamme; sisters, Cheri (Jerry) Kinzler, Bobbi (Lee) Keller, Dena (Kris) Freimuth; nieces and nephews, Christie, Asa, Anna(Tim), Leslie, Erica (Cheri) Tevor, Brittni, Lyndsi (Bobbi) , Samantha and Aaron (Dena); and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Barbara Quamme.
We will all miss you Mark, from the expression on your face when drinking an ice cold Pepsi (your favorite) to the little tug of the edge of your moustache at the corner of your mouth.
A Memorial Service will be at 12 noon at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 6924 Lake Road, DeForest, with Reverend Charles O. Peterson officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
