Melvin Fleischer of Memphis died Thursday, January 21st after a long illness. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Charlee B. Fleischer; his sons, Max of Nashville and Donald and wife Jeanette of Memphis. He is also survived by siblings Gertrude Bozof (Morris), Harriett Glassman, Sylvia LaVene (Stuart), and George Fleischer, all of Memphis, and Bert Fleischer (Marti) of Oak Ridge, TN, as well as 14 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. He was a member of the American Bar Association, the TN Bar Association, and the Memphis-Shelby County Bar Association for over 40 years. He was a member of Temple Israel, served as president of B'Nai B'Rith Men, was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24th at The Levy-Cooper Chapel in Temple Israel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the home of Donald & Jeanette Fleischer on Sun., Mon. and Tues. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
