  Bruce Arthur Ritzenthaler Thursday, February 15, 2007 Bruce Arthur Ritzenthaler of Palm Beach and Greenwich, Conn., died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, in Palm Beach. He was 77. Mr. Ritzenthaler was born July 8, 1929, in Rochester, N.Y. After graduating from Georgetown University, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, qualified as a Naval aviator and flew from the U.S.S. Coral Sea during and after the Korean War. His work in aviation continued in the private sector, and he played a role in the birth of the first private jets, traveling for William "Bill" Lear and demonstrating the Learjet's capabilities. Mr. Ritzenthaler was a member of the Beach Club, the English Speaking Union, the Wine and Food Society of Palm Beach, the Greenwich Croquet Club and the American Croquet Association. He was a parishioner at St. Edward Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Irene Casey-Ritzenthaler of Palm Beach; a sister, Sally Waters of Galveston, Texas; three children; six stepchildren; and nine grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held in Mansfield, Ohio. A second service will be scheduled at St. Edward Catholic Church, followed by a gathering of remembrance.
