Birth: Jun. 23, 1906 Evansville Vanderburgh County Indiana, USA Death: Jul. 6, 2000 Centerville Barnstable County Massachusetts, USA Helen Kathryn (Kramer) Wright, 94, of West Hyannisport MA, formerly of Evansville IN, died on July 6, 2000, at Cape Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Centerville MA. Mrs. Wright taught elementary school in Evansville for five years. She was a 1924 graduate of Central High School and received an education diploma from Evansville College in 1926, where she was president of the alumnae chapter of Gamma Epsilon Sigma Society in 1931. She won several singles titles for the college women's tennis team. In Evansville, she was a member of Bethel United Church of Christ and Optimists Wives. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, George P. Wright; daughter Beverly Brenner of Somerville MA; son Gordon Wright of North Eastham MA; grandchildren John A. Brenner, Zachary and Fawn Wright, Kathryn L. Oggins, and Anastasia Wells; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services were held at the Federated Church in Hyannis MA with burial in Mosswood Cemetery in Cotuit MA.
