Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of the Ascension in Bismarck, with the Rev. Marvin Klemmer officiating. Elizabeth Mosbrucker was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Center, the daughter of Alex and Marguerite (Broxmeier) Mosbrucker. She married Chris Koch and lived in Sanger. They had three children. She married Oscar Dorval, Nov. 22, 1946, in Wibaux, Mont. They lived in Belfield until 1951 when they moved to Bismarck. Bette worked as a cook for most of her life. She operated a cafe in Belfield and cooked at the Elks Club, American Legion and Eagles Club in Bismarck for many years. She enjoyed cooking at the Presbyterian Church for a time, cooking for the Presbyteens on Wednesday evenings. Bette loved gardening as anyone who saw her garden could tell from her beautiful flowers to the prize-winning vegetables. She also enjoyed fishing and hunting, but one of her greatest enjoyments was cooking and canning. She loved her family and always worked hard to make a good home for them. She was a kind and caring person who was always willing to share what she had with others. She will be missed by many, her family, friends and the kind, loving caregivers at St. Vincent's Alzheimer's Unit. Bette is survived by three sons and four daughters-in-law, James and Marcella Koch, Ron and Barb Koch, and Ted and Karen Dorval, all of Bismarck, and Betty Koch, Mandan; one daughter, Mary Lu (Dorval) Horning, Mandan; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Meyer, Edna Feist and Monica Vogel, all of Bismarck, and Hildegard Garross, Kirkland, Wash.; and one brother, Tom Mosbrucker, Phoenix. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Chris Koch and Oscar Dorval; one son, Robert Koch; one daughter-in-law, Maria Koch; five brothers, Max, Harry, Tony, Herbert and Adam; and three sisters, Margie, Rose and Pauline.
