Beck Former Avon Rep., 79 Evelyn F. Beck of North Branch, a homemaker, former 30-year Avon representative and longtime area resident, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2002, at the Care in the Catskills Care Center in White Sulphur Springs. She was 79 years of age. The daughter of the late Frank and Jenny Huebsch Hemmer, she was born Jan. 5, 1923, in New York City. She was the widow of Harold J. Beck who died Oct. 3, 2000. Mrs. Beck and her husband formerly owned and operated Beck's Meat Market in North Branch. She was a member of the North Branch Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, the Calico Geese and the Sullivan County Cooperative Extension in Liberty. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Mickey Sazoff of Liberty, Gail and Robert Ludwig of Parksville and Cindy and Guy DeLuca of Tusten; and two grandsons, Jason and Tim Sazoff. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon with Pastor Audrey Pedersen officiating. Burial will be made in the Lutheran Cemetery in North Branch. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 203, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. 12601 or the North Branch Fire Department, North Branch, N.Y. 12766.
