She was raised in the Pellston area and was a graduate of Pellston High School. On May 10, 1948, Leona was wed to Joseph Reicha in Cross Village. Leona was a waitress at Dill's for 25 years, and a member of St. Francis Catholic Church and the Michigan Trail Riders. She enjoyed reading and working on crossword puzzles. While raising her five boys, it was very important to Leona to keep Sunday as a family day. They made a tradition of going to Mass then having a meal together, whether at home or with their extended family. Leona is survived by her 5 children; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph and Lillian Thelen; her husband, Joseph in 1990; her brothers, Robert, Jess and Paul; and daughter-in-law, Katherine.
