Karen Cavanaugh Fox, 58
Karen A. Cavanaugh Fox, age 58, of Lafayette, passed away at 5:52 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital. Born August 30, 1953 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late Michael F. and Rosemary L. Lange Cavanaugh.
Karen graduated from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in 1974. She worked for 17 years at St. Elizabeth Central on 3 East. She worked at the VA Hospital in Fort Wayne, and was a visiting nurse and hospice nurse in Fort Wayne. She was a member of Queen of Angels Church in Fort Wayne. She enjoyed camping and fishing.
Surviving are five sisters: Linda M. Ray of Lafayette, Kathleen K. Buescher (husband, Pat) of Chebanse, IL, Sandra L. Davies (husband, Greg) of Bowling Green, IN, Elizabeth A. Cavanaugh of Lafayette, and Rebecca J. Cavanaugh of Battle Ground; and two brothers: William M. Cavanaugh (wife, Linda) of Battle Ground and Michael R. Cavanaugh (wife, Michelle) of Hartselle, AL.
Memorial service at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Father Dominic Young officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Palliative Services through St. Elizabeth Central Hospital or St. Ann's Soup Kitchen.
