Salwei, 69, Ironton, Minn., died April 20, 2009, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, surrounded by his family and all the love experienced in his lifetime. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Crosby, Minn. Burial will be at the Lakewood Cemetery, Crosby, Minn. Friends may call from one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. A native of Zeeland, Donald was born Nov. 20, 1939, to John and Rose (Weber) Salwei. He was known for his generosity, his great sense of humor, and his love of baseball and the outdoors. His is survived by his wife, Louise; five daughters, Jean, Suzanne (John), Annie (Cory), Patricia and Marian (Chad); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Zachary, Benjamin, Catherine, Rebekah, Rachel, Ben, Samuel and Abigail; his great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Peyton; his brothers, David, John and Greg; his sisters, Inez and Anne; and many loving and loyal friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sylvia. (Koop Funeral Home, Crosby, Minn.)
