Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dickinson with the Rev. George Dukart officiating. Special music will be provided by Mary Agostini, organist and Sr. Stephanie Dolyniuk, song leader. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Mischel-Olson Chapel with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mischel-Olson Chapel. Margaret H. Hoerner, a daughter of Michael and Eleanore (Stein) Hoerner, was born June 14, 1913, on the family farm at Richardton. She attended Dickinson State Teachers College. She was a bookkeeper for different business including the State of North Dakota in the 1930s and Montgomery Wards. She married William Rummel in Dickinson. They owned and operated the College Grocery store during World War II. The store was remodeled into an apartment complex which they owned until a few years ago. She retired in the early 1990s. She enjoyed playing bridge, quilting and gardening. She is survived by two sons, Jim of Billings, Mont., Randy (Patty) of Cut Bank, Mont.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ann Berger of Dickinson, Nellie Kuch of West Richland, Wash.; two brothers, Emil Hoerner of Richardton and Val (Dorothy) Hoerner of Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.
