Birth: Feb. 19, 1936 Park Grove Valley County Montana, USA Death: Jan. 28, 2013 Hamilton Ravalli County Montana, USA HAMILTON – Barbara Ann Meckler, 76, of Hamilton, passed away Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Discovery Care Centre. She was born Feb. 19, 1936, in Park Grove near Fort Peck the daughter of John and Mary Meckler. Barbara was raised and educated in Missoula. She moved to Hamilton and began working for Dennis and Carol Claxton in 1978 at the Main Street Wash O Mat. Barb remained working there for more than 34 years until her health forced her to retire in August 2012. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering, and especially loved spending time with her family. Barb was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Marlene Ebel and husband Lon of Stevensville; her brother, John Meckler and wife Marian of Plains; sister, Darlene Cotton and husband Kay of Hurricane, Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Daly-Leach Chapel with a reception afterward in the funeral home's community room.
