Faul, Ronald Albert
Ronald Albert Faul, 80, of the town of Berlin, died Wednesday early evening, Feb. 19, 2014, at Fountain View Nursing Facility of Ripon.
Ron was born on Aug. 15, 1933, in Greenfield, Wis., the first born son of Albert and Lydia B. "Patzke " Faul. With the birth of another son, Gerald William, five years later, the Faul family was complete. The family moved to Berlin on Dec. 30, 1948.
The Faul family farm became known throughout the Berlin area, as the place to get your potatoes, pumpkins, watermelons, and other produce. For many years the Faul family was known for their generosity to the area churches donating potatoes for the church dinners.
Ron proudly served his country in the U.S Army, actively for 2 years, following with 8 years serving in the Army Reserve.
In later years Ron started playing around with metal fabrications making ornamental lawn art.
He is survived by many friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Gerald.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday afternoon Feb. 23, 2014, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin.
