Birth: Nov. 30, 1913 Eureka McPherson County South Dakota, USA Death: Dec. 4, 1987 Moses Lake Grant County Washington, USA Otelia "Tillie" Opp, 74, longtime Moses Lake, Wash., resident, died Friday, Dec. 4, 19987, at her home. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 2 pm at the Chapel of Memories with Pastor Gerrit Van Brandwijk of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment followed at Pioneer Memorial Gardens. Services and interment were under the direction of the Chapel of Memories. Mrs. Opp was born Nov. 30, 1913 in Eureka, daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Liedle. She was raised and educated in the Eureka area. She was married to Edwin Opp Nov. 6, 1932 in Eureka where they continued to lived and farm for the next 20 years. In 1952 they sold their farm and moved to Moses Lake. She began working as a meat packer, working at the 3rd Ave. Market, Lemmon's IGA and Merriman's Market. In 1960 she began working as cashier at the Turf Cafe, retiring after 17 years. She enjoyed yard work, especially gardening and growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren and when younger, bowling. She was a member of the Moses Lake First Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her husband, Edwin, Moses Lake; two daughters, Betty Brown, Moses Lake; four grandchildren, Cindy Wagner, Kim Roth, Deena Meling and Jill Withers; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Ted Liedle, Aberdeen, Elmer Liedle, Snohomish, Wash., Milbert Liedle, Spokane, Wash., Allen Liedle, Rapid City, Orville Liedle, Leola; three sisters, Irene Schumack and Alice Bonnet, both of Leola and Arlene Kusler, Mankato, Minn. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
