Richard Reisenauer

Richard "Dick" J. Reisenauer, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2009 at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints in Racine, surrounded by his family. Richard was born September 26, 1932 in Mandan, North Dakota, to the late George and Anna (Nee: Helbling) Reisenauer. On August 28, 1954, he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Phyllis (Nee: Werner) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Racine. Dick was a graduate of St. Catherine's High School "Class of 1950." He honorably served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1960, serving as Master at Arms, 3rd Class Petty Officer. He was an active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Churchwhere he served as Prayer Leader, Head Usher, Eucharistic Minister and also trained altar servers and other Eucharistic Ministers. Dick was currently a member at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Dick was employed by Twin Disc Company as a Senior Computer Operator for thirty-eight years until his retirement December 22, 1994. He belonged to the Twin Disc dartball and bowling leagues, Twin Disc "20 Year Club," and the Tabor Dartball League, and enjoyed playing cards with Mt. Pleasant and Sturtevant Seniors. His greatest love was spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Phyllis; his children, Terri (Terry) Neumann, Gina (David) Bahrs, Lisa (Dave) La Plante, all of Racine, WI, Ric (Michelle) Reisenauer of Muskego, WI; his grandchildren, Nick (Amanda) Neumann, Dan Neumann, Brooke (Steven) Doyle, Natalie (Jared) Roper, Heather (Ben) June, Adam Bahrs, Stephanie (Paul) Brown, Jessica Jardas, Stacey (Ken) Petersen, Amy (Dave) Barrera, Keighley and Colin Reisenauer; 21 great-grandchildren; four brothers, William (Sandy) Reisenauer, Tom (Priscilla) Reisenauer, Irene (Louis) Torresin, Dave (Mary) Reisenauer, Don (the late Debbie) Reisenauer; brother- in-law, William (Naja) Werner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents Dick was also preceded in death by his in-laws, Philip and Theresa Werner, other family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, Friday, September 4, 2009, 11:00 A.M. with Rev. William J. Dietzler officiating. Entombment with full military honors will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Catherine's High School or to one's favorite charity have been suggested. The family extends a special thank you to the physicians and ICU staff at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-All Saints; Metz Medical, and Community Pharmacy for the loving and compassionate care given to Dick during his illness.
