Albrecht, 92, of Tiskilwa passed away at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Born Feb. 27, 1920, in Tiskilwa to John V. and Leah (Litwiller) Albrecht, he married Gratice L. Eichelberger Feb. 6, 1952, in Wayland, Iowa. She survives. He was a graduate of Tiskilwa High School and a lifetime farmer. He was also a bus driver for Bureau and Princeton schools. He was a life-long member of the Willow Springs Mennonite Church in Tiskilwa and an usher in the church for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Bureau County Farm Bureau. He served in the U.S. Army, Medical Detachment 205th Infantry Battalion, during World War II from 1942 to 1945.
