Obituary for Rose Koch Bobb
CENTER -- Rose Bobb, 91, Center, died Oct. 30, 2003, at her daughter's residence in Mandan. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Center, with the Rev. Chad Gion officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Weigel Funeral Home, Mandan, and from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church, where a parish vigil and rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.
Rose was born Oct. 3, 1912, in Yucca, the daughter of Christ and Wilhelmina Koch. On April 3, 1934, she married John Bobb in Yucca. They farmed in the Center area and retired in 1978. Then they moved into Center. For the last two years she made her home with her daughter, Kathleen, in Mandan.
Rose was a hard-working woman who in her retired years loved playing cards with her friends and loved crocheting for all her grandchildren. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially hearing the laughter.
She is survived by five daughters and three sons-in-law, Katherine and Frank Himmelspach, Mesa, Ariz., Kathleen Mosbrucker, Mandan, Betty Staigle, Bismarck, Marge and Jim Mosbrucker, Mandan, and Diane and Terry Wilkens, New Salem; two sons and daughters-in-law, Clem and Gloria Bobb, Elbert, Colo., and John and Lucy Bobb, Center; 21 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eva Friedig and Emma Skalsky; and two brothers, Joe and George Koch.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; one daughter in infancy; four sisters, Clem, Barbara, Agnes and Maggie; two brothers, John and Adam; two grandsons, Billy Staigle and Andy Bobb; one granddaughter, Shelly (Mosbrucker) Brink; and two sons-in-law, Ray Mosbrucker and Bill Staigle.
