Bertha Grace McCarty McClure Birth: Jun. 15, 1883 Kansas, USA Death: Apr. 21, 1978 Belleville Republic County Kansas, USA OBITUARY Bertha McClure, daughter of William and Mary McCarty, was born June 15 1883 on a farm northeast of Republic and died April 21, 1978 at the Long Term Care in Belleville at the age of 94 years. Bertha was married to Everett McClure March 20, 1907 at Hebron, Nebraska. To this union two children were born. Bertha and husband lived on the farm near Republic until 1917, when they moved to their home in Republic, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. R.W. (Florence) Kehr, Denver, Colorado; her son Clifford and wife Edith Republic, Kansas; five grandchildren-Mrs. Carol Tittle, New York City, Mrs. Betty Mandell, Columbia, South Carolina; Mrs. Margaret Perkins, Denver, Colorado; Mrs. Barbara Spencer, Greenwood, Indiana and Michael McClure, Republic; eight great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Boyer, Belleville and Mrs. Goldie Taylor, Shreveport, Louisiana; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Monday, April 24, from Tibbetts Bros. Chapel, Belleville, Kansas with the Rev. Loren Silsby officiating. Burial was in Prairie Rose Cemetery, Republic Kansas.
