Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Bismarck Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Leary officiating. Burial will be held at Mandan Union Cemetery. Matt was born Nov. 4, 1925, to George and Elizabeth (Barth) Yantzer in Crown Butte. He attended Crown Butte School. He married Betty Himmelspach Oct. 28, 1947, in Crown Butte. He worked as a carpenter his whole life. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, playing cards, spending time and playing cards with his grandchildren. He enjoyed playing and watching softball. He was a member of the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, Mandan Elks and Moose clubs. He is survived by his sons, Jerry (Carolyn), Tampa, Fla., Art (Mary), Mandan, and Dennis, Bismarck; his grandchildren, Scott, Christie, Brent, Brenda, Corey, Michael, Neal, Amy, Michael, Kimberly and Chelsey; six great-grandchildren; his sisters, Clara Mosbrucker, Mandan, Rose (John) Berger, Bismarck, Veronica Frohlich, New Salem, and Betty Fleck, Mandan; and his brothers, Tony (Monica), Arizona, and Sam (Kathy), Colorado. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty; and his parents.
