  [S927] Obituary. PANA - Kathleen Koontz, 83, of Pana died Monday, May 23, 2005, at Heritage Manor in Pana. She was born June 29, 1921, in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex County, England, the daughter of George and Alice Keely Duffett. She married Robert Koontz in 1945; they later divorced. Mrs. Koontz was a clerk at a post office in England, a clerk and typist for the state of Illinois and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pana Area Senior Citizens, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and Women of the Moose, all in Pana. Survivors: four daughters, Patricia (husband, Roger) Starbird of Decatur, Christine (husband, Jim) Hill of Jupiter, Fla., Andrea (husband, Rick) Chamberlain of Ramsey and Wendy (husband, Mike) Miller of Pana; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, McCracken-Dean Funeral Home, Pana, the Rev. Martin Eden officiating.
