Cecelia H. Bulfer

SUBLETTE, Ill. -- Cecelia H. Bulfer, 82, of Sublette, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004 at St. Margaret's Hospital in Spring Valley.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 12 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Sublette, the Rev. Edward Hughes officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Sublette. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy, with a rosary at 4:45 p.m.; and from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, of which she was a member.
She was born Aug. 19, 1921 in Whittemore, Iowa, the daughter of William and Anna (Puetz) Salz. She married Leo A. Bulfer May 28, 1940 in West Brooklyn. He preceded her in death Nov. 17, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons and a sister, Irene Bonnell.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Harold (Pat) Stenzel of Sublette, Mrs. Albert (Norma) Borell of Amboy, Mrs. Dennis (Cindy) Jones of Hooppole, Mrs. Harold (Helen) Pettit of Spring Valley and Mrs. David (Elizabeth) Dillon of Galesburg; a son, Robert (Pauline) Bulfer of Sublette; 11 grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. George (Bernadette) Spore of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; and three brothers, Wilford Salz of Wenona and Othmar (Helen) Salz and Victor Salz, both of Lostant.
She was the head cook at DelMonte Foods in Mendota for many years. She was a member of St. Anne Sodality.
